terms of service

1. what you're agreeing to

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and DegenJournal("DegenJournal," "we," "us"). By accessing https://www.degenjournal.xyz, creating an account, or paying for anything, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you're using DegenJournal on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind that company.

2. what DegenJournal is (and isn't)

DegenJournal is analytics software. It imports your on-chain trading history from a public wallet address (read-only), computes statistics, and generates AI-assisted commentary and a journal. That's it.

It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing on the site — no insight, chart, score, or AI-generated sentence — is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. We are not your broker, advisor, or fiduciary. Crypto trading is extremely risky and you can lose everything. Every decision you make with your money is yours alone. Do your own research; if you need advice, hire a licensed professional.

3. non-custodial & read-only

DegenJournal never takes custody of your fundsand never asks for signing permissions, private keys, or seed phrases. We read a public wallet address to fetch transaction history. We cannot move, trade, or touch your assets, and we will never ask you to grant us the ability to. If anyone claiming to be us ever asks for your seed phrase, it's a scam — report it and walk away.

4. your account

Accounts use passwordless "magic link" email sign-in. You're responsible for the email inbox tied to your account and for activity under it. Don't share access, don't impersonate others, and tell us fast if you think your account is compromised. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live (at least 18 in most places).

5. plans, payments & crypto

• Free tier: available at no cost, subject to feature limits we may adjust.
• Pro passes (30-day and annual): one-time crypto payments that grant access for a fixed period. They do not auto-renew — when a pass ends, access reverts to Free until you buy another.
• Lifetime: a one-time payment for ongoing Pro access to DegenJournal as it exists and evolves, for as long as we operate the service.
• Crypto SaaS Starter Kit: a separate one-time digital purchase governed by its own delivery terms (repo access + guide), described on the product page.

Prices are shown on the pricing page. Crypto payments are processed by third parties and are final once confirmed on-chain — see our Refund Policyfor the narrow exceptions. You're responsible for any taxes on your purchases.

6. you own your trades

Your wallet data, imported trades, and journal notes are yours. We claim no ownership over them. We process them only to provide the service to you (see the Privacy Policy), and you can request deletion at any time. You grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely to run DegenJournal for you — nothing more.

7. acceptable use

Don't be the reason we have to write more rules. Specifically, don't:

• Break the law, launder money, or use the service to facilitate fraud.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute the product or its data beyond your own use.
• Reverse-engineer, attack, overload, or probe our infrastructure or third parties.
• Upload malware, abuse the AI features, or attempt to access accounts that aren't yours.
• Import wallets or data you have no right to analyze.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, with or without notice.

8. third-party services

DegenJournal relies on providers like Supabase, NowPayments, Lemon Squeezy, Helius, Hyperliquid, Resend, Vercel, and Cloudflare. Their availability and their own terms are outside our control, and we're not liable for their outages or actions. Chain data comes from third-party indexers and may occasionally be incomplete or delayed.

9. "as is," and the limits of our liability

DegenJournal is provided "as is" and "as available,"without warranties of any kind. We don't promise the data is complete, accurate, or uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DegenJournal is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any trading losses. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or US $50.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service or your violation of these Terms.

10. changes, termination & governing law

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and continuing to use the service means you accept them. We may modify or discontinue features. You can stop using DegenJournal any time; we may terminate access for violations. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and disputes will be handled there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
